Scan2Screen is proud to announce that its multispectral scanning technology will bring works of legendary artist Len Lye to the big screen at Re:Vision: Festival of Restoration and Rediscovery, running September 24–27 at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco.

The Len Lye screenings are the result of a partnership between San Francisco Film Preserve (SFFP), Scan2Screen, the Len Lye Foundation, and the British Film Institute National Archive (BFI). Using Scan2Screen’s multispectral scanning system, our team captured the authentic look of Lye’s original film elements from the 1930s, which employ rare color processes – Gaspar Color, Dufaycolor and hand painting. The project was designed to showcase these stunning, exceptional prints in a way that preserves their original visual character. Six of Lye’s films will screen throughout the festival, so there are multiple chances to catch them across the four days.

Beyond the Lye program, Re:Vision spotlights moving image preservation work from institutions and individuals around the world, including several restorations from SFFP.
